Woran erkennt man, dass ein Strick-Muster richtig cool ist? Ja genau, man muss es gleich zwei Mal hinereinander anschlagen. Und das Mitten im Hochsommer bei über 30°C. Aber nach dem Schwimmen oder nach einer eiskalten Dusche, ist es einfach immer schön, ein bequemes Paar Socken anzuziehen. Und meine gestreiften Rye Light Socken sind dafür einfach perfekt!

How do you know that a knitting pattern is really cool? Yes, you have to hit it twice in a row. And that in the middle of midsummer at over 30°C. But after a swim or after an ice-cold shower, it’s always nice to slip on a comfortable pair of socks. And my striped Rye Light socks are just perfect for that!

In einem meiner letzten Post habe ich euch bereits meine „Rye Light“ Socken aus der weißen Kaschmir-Wolle gezeigt. Ich konnte mich damals einfach nicht zurückhalten. Denn bereits als ich die erste „Rye Light“ Socke in Grün gestrickt hatte, wusste ich, dass ich eine weitere Variante mit diesem Muster haben musste. Und ich wollte nicht warten, bis ich euch das Tutorial in der grünen Variante aufgenommen hatte…

Aber nun ist auch die grüne Socken-Variante aus meinem Tutorial fertig. Und ich LIEBE sie! Diese Socken sind mittlerweile meine absoluten Lieblingssocken. Der Tragekomfort ist unglaublich toll und die Farben sind einfach perfekt für mich.

Wie bereits im letzten Post erwähnt, habe ich das kostenlose Original-Muster von Tin Can Knits online auf Ravelry gesehen und mich sofort darin verliebt. Ich habe das Muster an meine Grundsocke angepasst, allerdings erkenne ich nun an der fertigen Socke keinen Unterschied zum Original. Meine Anpassung hat also wunderbar funktioniert. 

In one of my last posts I already showed you my „Rye Light“ socks made of white cashmere wool. I just couldn’t hold myself back then. Because as soon as I knitted the first „Rye Light“ sock in green, I knew that I had to have another variant with this pattern. And I didn’t want to wait until I recorded the tutorial in the green variant for you…

But now the green sock variant from my tutorial is finished. And I LOVE them! These socks are now my absolute favorite socks. The wearing comfort is incredibly great and the colors are just perfect for me.

As mentioned in the last post, I saw the free original Tin Can Knits pattern online on Ravelry and fell in love with it immediately. I have adapted the pattern to my basic sock, but I can now see no difference in the finished sock from the original. So my adjustment worked wonderfully.

Das oben genannte Muster durchgehend stricken, mit Ausnahme der Ferse und der Spitze.

Was für ein schöner Luxus! Ich habe ein neues Paar Socken angeschlagen und auch bereits fertig gestrickt. Bei diesen super soften Socken handelt es sich um ein neues Muster, das ich online gesehen und in das ich mich auch sofort verliebt habe. Es handelt sich dabei um die „Rye Light“ Socken von Tin Can Knits, das man kostenlos auf Ravelry downloaden kann. Ich habe den weißen Hauptteil der Socken aus der „Meilenweit Cashmere“ von Lana Grossa gestrickt. Das Bündchen und die Spitze habe ich aus der Meilenweit Uni in Hellblau gestrickt. Den pinken Effekt habe ich durch das einzelne Einstricken des Polyestergarn „Spotty“ erreicht. Leider habe ich beim Anstricken schon gemerkt, dass dieses Effekgarn überhaupt nicht für mein Sockenprojekt geeignet war. Das Polyestergarn war viel zu fest und so verlierte mein Bündchen seine Elastizität. Und dennoch wollte ich es unbedingt verwenden. Meine Lösung war, dass ich das starre Garn nur wenige Runden im Bündchen mit gestrickt habe und das Effektgarn im Schaft nur als Beilaufgarn in 5 einzeln versetzten Runden verwendete. Mit diesem Ergebnis war ich ganz zufrieden. Das nächst Socken-Projekt werde ich aber nicht mehr mit „Spotty“ stricken. Da werde ich meine Augen lieber nach einem anderen Garn auf halten. Diese Tatsache ist eigentlich lustig, da das Effektgarn eigentlich der Grund dafür war, dass ich diese Socken angeschlagen hatte…

Und auch wenn ich die eingearbeiteten Farbkleckse der Socke etwas mehr vom cleanen Look nehmen sollten, so ist die Hauptfarbe Weiß vielleicht doch nicht ganz so Alltag-tauglich.  Aber was soll`s! Jede Frau sollt doch mindestens ein Paar weiße Socken in ihrer Sockenschublade haben, oder?

Bye the way, die Socken sehen nicht nur super schön aus, sie sind auch einfach zu stricken und haben einen hohen Tragekomfort. Sie sind also das perfekte ANFÄNGER-PROJEKT oder ideal für alle, die mal ein schnelles Projekt für Zwischendurch suchen.

Anmerkung: Ich habe das Garn „Spotty“ in den Schaft mit eingewebt. Da das Garn jedoch überhaupt nicht ideal dafür war, ich aber den Farbklecks in meiner Socke haben wollte, habe ich es nur hier und da als 2. Garn in 1 Runde mit eingewebt.

What a beautiful luxury! I’ve cast on a new pair of socks and have already finished knitting them. These super soft socks are a new pattern I saw online and fell in love with immediately. These are the „Rye Light“ socks by Tin Can Knits, which you can download for free on Ravelry. I knitted the white main part of the socks with „Meilenweit Cashmere“ from Lana Grossa. I knitted the cuffs and the tip with the „Meilenweit Uni“ in light blue. I achieved the pink effect by knitting in the polyester yarn „Spotty“ one at a time. Unfortunately, when I started knitting, I already noticed that this effect yarn was not at all suitable for my sock project. The polyester yarn was way too stiff and my cuff lost its elasticity. And yet I really wanted to use it. My solution was that I only knitted a few rounds with the stiff yarn in the cuff and only used the effect yarn in the shaft as an additional yarn in 5 individually rounds. I was quite happy with this result. But I won’t be knitting my next sock project with „Spotty“ anymore. I’d rather keep my eyes open for another yarn. This fact is actually funny as the fancy yarn was actually the reason I casted on those socks…

And though I integrated splashes of color to make the overlook of the sock less clean, the main color white is perhaps not quite as suitable for everyday use. But what the heck! Every woman should have at least one pair of white socks in her sock drawer, right?

Bye the way, the socks not only look super nice, they are also easy to knit and very comfortable to wear. So they’re the perfect BEGINNER PROJECT, or ideal for anyone looking for a quick on-the-go project.

Note: I woven the „Spotty“ yarn into the shaft. However, since the yarn was not ideal for it at all, but I wanted to have the color splash in my sock, I only woven it in here and there as a 2nd yarn in 1 round.

Ja, ich kann es nicht lassen! Ich muss einfach immer wieder etwas Neues ausprobieren. Und dieses Mal wollte ich unbedingt das Brioch-Muster-Stricken lernen. Ich liebe einfach den Look, den man mit diesem Strick-Muster erreichen kann. 

In meinem 3. Strick-Tutorial zeige ich euch daher sehr ausführlich (!), wie man ein zweifarbiges Brioche bzw. Vollpatent-Muster in Reihen (z.B. für Socken oder Loops) strickt.

Das Muster ist definitiv nichts für absolute Strick-Anfänger, aber ambitionierte Anfänger dürfen sich gerne an dieses Muster wagen. Mit etwas Ausdauer und Konzentration kann man das MITTEL-SCHWERE MUSTER auch mit den Grundkenntnissen des Strickens wunderbar meistern.

Auch, wenn ich mir beim Stricken oft gedacht habe, dass ich nie wieder ein Brioche-Muster stricken werde, so muss ich letztendlich gestehen, dass ich das Ergebnis einfach so toll finde, dass ich es definitiv wieder stricken werde. 

Yes, I can’t stop! I just have to keep trying something new. And this time I really wanted to learn how to knit the brioche pattern. I just love the look you can achieve with this knitting pattern.

In my 3rd knitting tutorial, I will therefore show you in great detail (!) how to knit a two-colored brioche in rows (e.g. for socks or loops).

The pattern is definitely not for absolute knitting beginners, but ambitious beginners are welcome to try this pattern. With a bit of perseverance and concentration, you can master the MEDIUM DIFFICULTY PATTERN wonderfully even with the basic knowledge of knitting.

Even if I often thought while knitting that I would never knit a brioche pattern again, I have to admit that I think the result is so great that I will definitely knit it again.

Heute möchte ich euch gerne wieder auf meine Strick-Reise mitnehmen. In meinem 2. Strick-Tutorial zeige ich euch eine Variante des einfachen Hebemusters, das ich vor Kurzem für meinen Mann gestrickt habe.

Ich habe diese Variante für eine klassische Herren-Socke mit Pepp gewählt, werde das schöne Muster aber sicherlich auch in Kürze noch einmal für mich selbst stricken, weil ich mich so darin verliebt habe.

Das Hebemuster ist definitiv ANFÄNGER-FREUNDLICH und ich zeige es euch in meinem Video besonders detailliert.

DAS MUSTER (Maschenanzahl teilbar durch 2):

1. Runde: In Grau rechts stricken
2. Runde: In Grau rechts stricken
3. Runde: Mit der Kontrastfarbe *1 reM, 1 Hebemasche* stricken
4. Runde: Mit der Kontrastfarbe *1 reM, 1 Hebemasche* stricken

Die Runden 1-4 so oft wiederholen, wie gewünscht.

Anmerkung:
Für ein plastisches Ergebnis, die Hebemasche locker abheben.
Beim Farbwechsel die Fäden im Hintergrund überkreuzen.

Today I would like to take you back on my knitting journey. In my 2nd knitting tutorial, I’ll show you a variation on the simple slip pattern I knitted for my husband recently.

I chose this variant for a classic men’s sock with a modern twist, but I’ll definitely be knitting the beautiful pattern again for myself in the near future because I’m so in love with it.

The beautiful pattern is definitely BEGINNER-FRIENDLY and I show it in great detail in my video.

THE PATTERN (number of stitches divisible by 2):

1st round: Knit in gray
2nd round: Knit in gray
3rd round: With the contrasting color, *knit 1 st, 1 slip stitch*
4th round: With the contrasting color, *knit 1 st, 1 slip stitch*

Repeat rounds 1-4 as many times as desired.

Annotation:
For a plastic result, lift the slip stitch loosely.
When changing color, cross the threads in the background.

Anmerkung: Damit das Muster schön plastisch wird, die Hebemaschen immer schön locker abheben.
