Yippie! Mein 3. Paar Socken ist fertig gestrickt.
Für diese super süßen, farbenfrohen Ringelsocken habe ich mich dieses Mal für die Sockenwolle Meilenweit Intenso (Farbe: Fuchsia/Pink/Rosa/Apricot/Geranienrot) von Lana Grossa als Haupt-Garn entschieden. Das Bündchen habe ich mit der Socken-Wolle Meilenweit Cashmere in Rot gestrickt. Da ich bei meinen beiden ersten Socken noch sehr konzentriert stricken musste, habe ich mich für das selbststrickende Ringelmuster mit dem einfarbigen Bündchen entschieden. Eine Kombination, die ich wirklich sehr liebe. Sowohl farblich, als auch vom Materialmix.

For these super cute, colorful striped socks, this time I decided to use the sock yarn Miles Wide Intenso (color: fuchsia/pink/pink/apricot/geranium red) from Lana Grossa as the main yarn. I knitted the cuff with the sock yarn Miles Wide Cashmere in red. Since I still had to concentrate on knitting my first two socks, I decided on the self-knitting striped pattern with the single-colored cuffs. A combination that I really love. Both in terms of color and material mix.
Das Bündchen habe ich mit 2 Maschen rechts und 2 Maschen links, abwechselnd gestrickt. Den Rest habe ich einfach glatt rechts gestrickt. Die Ferse habe ich wieder als Käpchen-Ferse mit einem Perlrand gearbeitet. Zum Stricken habe ich dieses Mal die 15 cm langen Holz-Stricknadeln Symfonie von Knit Pro verwendet. Und ich muss gestehen, dass ich diese sehr liebe. Die Stricknadeln zeichnen sich durch ein hochglanzpoliertes, vielfarbigen Birkenschichtholz aus, die ein langes Stricken ermöglichen. Zudem finde ich die Länge von 15 cm für meine Socken in der Größe 40 (64 Maschen) sehr angenehm.
Nachdem ich das YouTube Socken-Tutorial von @carolineswelt bei meinen Gründl-Socken mit der Hot Socks Torbole Sockenwolle und meinen Lana Grossa-Socken mit der Cashmere City (About Berlin) Sockenwolle erfolgreich umsetzen konnte, nutzte ich das Video dieses Mal tatsächlich nur noch als kurzes Nachschlagewerk, um Sicher zu gehen, dass ich auch die richtigen Maschen-Arten verwendete. Das hat mich tatsächlich ein klein wenig stolz gemacht. Es scheint so, als würde ich das Sockenstricken langsam beherrschen.
I knitted the cuff with 2 stitches on the right and 2 stitches on the left, alternately. I just knit the rest in stockinette stitch. I worked the heel again as a cap heel with a beaded edge. This time I used the 15 cm long Symfonie wooden knitting needles from Knit Pro for knitting. And I have to admit that I love this one very much. The knitting needles are characterized by a highly polished, multicolored birch plywood, which allows for long knitting. I also find the length of 15 cm very comfortable for my size 40 socks (64 stitches).
After I was able to successfully implement the YouTube sock tutorial from @carolineswelt on my Gründl socks with Hot Socks Torbole sock yarn and my Lana Grossa socks with Cashmere City (About Berlin) sock yarn, this time I actually only used the video as a short reference book to make sure I used the right stitch types. That actually made me a little bit proud. It seems I’m slowly getting the hang of sock knitting.
Mein Fazit zu diesem Socken-Paar:
- Ich liebe die Kombination der beiden Sockenwollen Meilenweit Intenso und Meilenweit Cashmere. Sowohl farblich, als auch im Material-Mix. Das hat wirklich sehr gut funktioniert.
- Leider hatte ich aber bei der sich ringelnden Wolle Meilenweit Intenso einen Farb-Fehler. Das bemerkte ich leider erst ganz zum Schluss, als ich die Spitze meiner zweiten Socke gestrickt habe. Darüber musste ich mich etwas ärgern. Denn ich hatte wirklich penibel darauf geachtet, dass ich den Farbverlauf nahezu identisch hinbekomme. Nun gut. Das kann passieren. Aber das nächste Mal werde ich bei einem Ringel-Garn sowohl das Bündchen, als auch die Spitze in einer Kontrastfarbe stricken. Vielleicht auch das Käppchen.
My verdict on this pair of socks:
- I love the combination of the two sock wools Miles Wide Intenso and Miles Wide Cashmere. Both in color and in the material mix. That worked really well.
- Unfortunately I had a color error with the curling wool Miles Wide Intenso. Unfortunately, I only noticed that at the very end when I knitted the toe of my second sock. I had to be a little angry about that. Because I had really meticulously made sure that I got the color gradient almost identical. Well. It can happen. But next time I will knit both the cuff and the tip in a striped yarn in a contrasting color. Maybe the hat too.
